Episode 1: Writing Through Grief

In a podcast discussion, Dana Gricken, shares her journey of working alongside her anxiety and depression while landing ten book deals.

I’m excited to announce the first episode of Storybound. My goal is to provide a spark of light in the dark for creatives who are neurodivergent or managing a mental illness. My hope is these conversations with other creatives will make you not feel so alone in this chaotic world.

For the first episode of Storybound, I feel incredibly thankful to have Dana Gricken on the podcast. She’s been both super supportive of the idea of Storybound and just the easiest to work alongside. Thank you, Dana!

Dana Gricken is a multi-genre author from Ottawa, Canada, writing stories since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She self-published in 2018 before landing traditional book deals in the 2020s and has more books coming out in the future. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, mailing letters to friends, spreading kindness, educating about her mental health struggles on social media, and watching Star Trek with her cats. She hopes her books bring joy and make people feel less alone. She wants to write over a hundred novels in her lifetime.
